Avani Patel was born in India and immigrated to the United States as a child. She was raised in Chicago and Downers Grove. Currently, she is admitted to the practice of law in Illinois. She graduated with Honors from the UIC John Marshall Law School in 2001 and graduated from Benedictine University in 1996 with a B.S. in Biology. Ms. Patel is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, Chicago Bar Association, DuPage County Bar Association, and IRELA (Illinois Real Estate Lawyers Association).
Although having practiced in different areas of the law, Ms. Patel focuses her practice on Real Estate matters, specifically Residential and Commercial Closings. Ms. Patel represents buyers and sellers and helps them to successfully navigate the complex closing process by achieving their objective. Her other area of practice includes Trademark Prosecution before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. She also serves as Appearance Counsel for other Law Firms. Ms. Patel enjoys volunteering and has participated in the “Wills for Heroes” program, judged Mock Trial Competitions, and assisted low-income clients with their legal needs. She also speaks Gujarati and Hindi.
